Trump told how Melania convinced him of Putin’s inconsistency

Trump spoke about Melania’s role in negotiations with Putin
The US First Lady repeatedly drew her husband’s attention to the fact that major Russian strikes on Ukraine took place after he had a “great conversation” with Putin.

US President Donald Trump said that First Lady Melania Trump convinced him that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin was not keeping his promises regarding a peace agreement with Ukraine. He told reporters about this on Monday, July 14, during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Fox News reports.

Trump said that Melania repeatedly drew attention to the Russian attacks that took place immediately after his phone conversations with Putin.

“I come home and say to the First Lady: ‘You know, I spoke to Vladimir today. We had a great conversation.’ She says: ‘Really? Another city just got shelled,'” Trump said.

He recalled another instance when, after several conversations with the Russian leader, he was confident that an agreement had been reached, but Melania told him about the new shelling of a nursing home.

“There were times when I would come home and say, ‘First Lady, I had a great conversation with Vladimir. I think we got it all worked out.’ And then I’d turn on the TV and she’d say, ‘That’s weird, because they just bombed a nursing home.'” – “I’d say, ‘What?'” Trump recalled.

Fox News notes that Russia repeatedly attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles immediately after the conversations between Putin and Trump.
